Yes, agreed - I had a couple of pints of Inkblot on tap over the weekend. It is markedly different from, say, Muddy York (two full percentage points higher abv for one thing) with big bold licorice and roast flavours. Both are good, but different styles.

Neustadt still makes their Big Dog Porter, though it's not easy to find.

Are Porters and Stouts starting to see less production as spring approaches??

I've been to a couple of LCBO's and it seems Stouts and Porters are slim picks, nothing on the shelf's except the imported stuff from Europe.

that's a completely separate discussion. the LCBO views porters and stouts as being seasonal. brewers don't necessarily do that, but the LCBO does. they want to sell more lawnmower beer because, hey, bbq hamburgers pair well with IPAs, right? (they don't)
