Walked the dog on Dundas West near Bathurst earlier today, passed Susur Lee's restaurant Bent that closed recently (777 Dundas St W), and noticed it is to be replaced by a new brewery dubbed "The Six".
Anybody know anything about this? Seems to be spearheaded by Austin Roach, a Niagara grad who spent time at Mill St, Granite, and Left Field.

Stupid slang name. Their first beers will be:
Whiny Boy
My fingers in your face
Got shot outside the taproom

Yeah if the beer isn't outstanding I'll avoid based solely on the terrible name. I hate that Toronto is known as 'The Six'... thanks Drake... or whoever.
Why is it even considered 'The Six'? Is it because of 416? Am I missing something?

416 and 647 both have sixes in them. They both have 4s too, but just ignore that.
Also, Toronto was formed out of six boroughs during amalgamation.

Why, I remember way back in the '90s when we just used to call it "The T-dot, O-dizot."
Come to think of it, "Northern Touch" would be a great name for a beer.
...BRB, starting a new brewery.

Eagerly awaiting their collaboration with Longslice.

They better have mac 'n cheese burritos on a stick on the food menu if they're gonna make it.

Probably will have limp flavorless mini tacos and seventeen-dollar Charcuterie plates of the blandest possible cured meats from Metro.Tapsucker wrote:They better have mac 'n cheese burritos on a stick on the food menu if they're gonna make it.
All food & beer pricing in The Tee-Dot is becoming a dodgy prospect.
