First time I ever recall reading "infected" and "Nickel Brook" in the same sentence. But thanks for your concern.
I just had an infected Half Bastard in my beer advent calendar.
I just had an infected 2017 Cuvee from Nickel Brook.... either that or the 2017 is not good, tasted like tin/metal

The last Cuvee I had was not great either.
I was thinking I used to really like it, but looking back over the years, it was never a big winner for me....

This week Exchange brewery Oud Bruin will be available at a few stores. They have a new format, for them, 330ml bottles

I'm very excited about this brewery.

Today I picked up the Exchange Belgian Golden Ale (aged in French oak, brett has been added), Straffe Hendrick Quadrupel, Abbaye Des Rocs Brune (it's nice - far from overpowering), Rodenbach Vintage 2016, and Val Dieu Grand Cru.

The Exchange Oud Brun does pique my interest, though it was not a standout Flanders style ale when I tried it on tap a few years ago.

Of the three Cascade on offer is there one that stands out?

It seems to me Cascade's beers are all highly rated and the ones I sampled at Cask Days were all above average. It comes down to your preferred style/ingredient/flavour. Manhattan sounds the most appealing to me. I'll be picking one up if it gets to an LCBO near me. And I grabbed a Sang Royal online when they popped up yesterday.

The Manhattan is probably my fav. Very different.

I gotta say, though, as much as I like these, the new batch of Bench’s Citra Grove is really rocking my world. New bottle format and for once the 500 ml is a better value than the previous 750. Bottles are but a few weeks old and just drinking beautifully...for 7 bucks each - no brainer.

I loved the shit out of the citra grove last year. Glad to see it back. I wish they'd make it a year round beer.

I prefer Jergen’s. It has a nice creamy finish.

I'm not a huge fan of this one. Blacklist is far better.
