Portland Maine and points nearby (with some ringers from Equilibrium and Veil thrown in) palate killing Can share, in some semblance of order of my scores:
Goodfire Waves
Veil Alone
Definitive Fallstreak
Goodfire Prime
Henniker Damn Sure - This one was more a West Coast IIPA, and as a result stood out in a good way.
Equilibrium MC2
Battery Steele Flume
Veil Cat Boyz 9 to 5
Bissell Swish
Foundation Epiphany
Veil Broznightout
Austin Street Patina
Equilibrium A New Level of Science and Flower
Assorted Palate cleansers.
FWIW The good fire Waves was ranked #1 between all 4 of us

Standouts from the last couple weeks.
Barncat King Larry-sensational from Barncat as always.
Fairweather-golden hour pineapple sour IPA---I enjoyed this but didn't think it as good as some of the hype I've seen about it.
Tank 7 saison-I'm usually not a fan of North American saison, as I find them generally to much like a wheat beer and too sweet. This is neither of those, just fantastic. Crisp, dry, fruity, a little funky and a bit more hop character than expected. I only bought one four pack last time this was at lcbo, not making that mistake this time.
Muddy York gaslight helles-possibly the best of its kind in the province, such a perfect summer beer.
CA life in the clouds-I really enjoy this beer every time I have it. Hazy and juicy, but not over the top.
Merit The other side-a tasty fruit based sour with a nice spiceness kicking in from the rye.
Merit Young Rival-I think this is their flagship IPA, don't remember too much about it tbh, except a lingering dankness to it.
Merit One for us brutIPA-this was beautiful. Bone dry, really fruity and extremely crushable. I need to get more of this. I'm hoping this new style is going to catch on, as it's right up my alley, and a nice change from the neipa.
Fairweather natural mystic-a tasty beer, but I didn't really get much of the cedar tbh(although that may be a good thing)
CA Ransack-still a regular go to beer for me.
Badlands Distirted reality-I'm gonna say it...the best Pale Ale in Ontario right now. Hazy, juicy, soft, super tropical, excellent. The IPA, when it's on, it's out of this world also.

At Stone City Ales in Kingston!
SCA Hard to Say DIPA Imperial IPA
SCA Folklore Weissbier / Hefeweizen, brewed with the newer Callista hop that imparts fruit nuances besides some pleasant grassy and minty qualities.
SCA Yacht Rock Grodziskie/Gose/Lichtenhainer, with lime and Minneola zest, lemongrass, coriander and pink rock salt
All were delicious, very modern interpretations.
Everything was attractively hazy-looking because this is 2018.

Picked up a few up at the Dufferin Mall Beer Store yesterday. They have fresh stock, bottled June 20th. Tasting great.sofakingdrunk wrote: Badlands Distirted reality-I'm gonna say it...the best Pale Ale in Ontario right now. Hazy, juicy, soft, super tropical, excellent. Collective Arts Berliner Weisse. The advertised lime and ginger are certainly present. Very tart and refreshing.
I'll be in Kingston on the weekend - any places around town that serve cask, beyond the old KBC?Belgian wrote:At Stone City Ales in Kingston!

Kinda doubt it but I could be wrong - the Red House might have a cask option.

Straffe Hendrink Quad - a flavorful and aromatic beast, needs to settle a day in the fridge to enjoy
Founders Backwoods Bastard, last bottle of previous release - bourbon and oak is slightly boozy at room temp but I like it.
Happy Canada Day!

At Bierrera Volo:
Barncat 36" Chain IIPA - yum!
Crooked Stave Petite Sour Rose - excellent
Almanac Sunshine & Opportunity - could be more complex
Crooked Stave Silly Cybies - sour! This is a sipper, but a very good one. Now my taste buds are done for the day.

If you have a FOUNDERS CBS to crack open, this is certainly a nice hour for it.
Happy Canada stat holiday! Bourbon, chocolate, maple, coffee and stout. Wow.

Nothing tonight.
Was at Ontario Place....they have a stage there, can't recall the name
I drink a fair amount of beer and decided at $13 per tall boy that I could take a night off.
