Sheryl and I visited the Riverside Cafe at Queen & Broadview for her birthday this evening to enjoy a feast of beer and mussels with a few friends, and we found out that they're having a beer tasting on Sunday, September 22nd.

We probably won't be able to make it ourselves, but I asked our server for a bit of info so I could pass it along. Advance tickets are $30 ($35 at the door if available), and that includes some food and a tasting of somewhere between 6 and 9 beers (depending on what they decide to offer). She said that they're still trying to decide on a theme for the beers to be offered, but she thinks that they will probably be wheat beers of various sorts. For more info, you can call them at 416-406-2943.

As for the beers I enjoyed this evening - they included Corsendonk Abbey Brown Ale (first time for that one - a very nice brew!), Smuttynose Robust Porter, and good ol' Anchor Steam.
