the guy who ran momandhop/ontariobev was the only person keeping track of all the online bottle shops but hasn't updated since his legal troubles. I guess someone else decided to carry the torch.Craig wrote:This is great! Guy who made this is, according to his twitter, a developer, beer and Habs fan. My kinda guy.
very cool
Hello. Long time lurker, very infrequent commenter. I'm the author of the website. Thanks for the shout out and kind words! Given what's been going on lately I just wanted to re-share the website and provide, what I found to be, some interesting observations.
brewed.today shows 2 days (the day of and the day before) of new inventory to hit Ontario breweries online stores as well as a catalog of all of Ontario's breweries that sell online including their shipping rates.
If you're looking to acquire beer during our social distancing I'd recommend buying online for a number of reasons: health and safety of yourself and others, reduced shipping prices, brewery exclusives, supporting local, and tons of variety.
Over the past week breweries have been flooding their online shelves. I've noticed a few breweries have dipped into their cellar with rare releases and a number of breweries have re-opened their online stores (GLB, Bobcaygeon, Barley Days, Kichesippi). Below is a chart counting the number of beers released each day over the past 3 weeks. Before the 16th is a normal number of releases per day/week. I expect this influx of increased inventory to continue to increase over the next little while, so keep an eye out for new releases on http://brewed.today!

If you have any questions, comments, or suggestions feel free to contact me!
Cheers.

I can hardly blame people for moving quickly on this.

Thanks for putting together this website, it's inspired me to make a purchase as of this morning. Fridays are usually my LCBO stock up day, but I figured with social distancing and all, why not take this opportunity to online order from a brewery I've yet to try (Dominion City in this case). I especially appreciate the shipping charge info being pulled and displayed with the brewery info.cboden wrote:Hello. Long time lurker, very infrequent commenter. I'm the author of the website. FYI
if the brewery is using Canada Post, the delivery may not come to your door due to CP's covid-19 policy.
drivers are leaving a notice on your door (or community mailbox) to go pick up the package at your local "post office" (ie Shoppers Drug Mart, in my case)
I placed 3 orders a few days ago:
1st left a note (didn't even knock on the door)
2nd rang the doorbell and once my wife came to the door they left the package on the front step and left
3rd driver did same as 1st
