There are so many beweries in Ontario that every once in a while on this forum someone will say "I've never heard of them".

So I'm at an event at The Cave in Toronto above Lee's Palace and I see a guy wearing a Steel Wheel t-shirt and I say to myself "I've never heard of them". :D

I searched the forum, and it turns out they were mentioned a few years ago in the "Worst Ontario breweries" thread....but not because they were nominated, someone was basically asking if anyone had been there.

So.....has anyone had anything from them?

I went back in 2018 and it was decent based on the four beers I tried. Seemed like a nice enough spot that was just getting started. No idea what it's like now.

It's funny you should mention them. I was driving back from Michigan and was looking on Google Maps to see if there was anything along the way I hadn't been to before. This popped up, but I ended up going to the new Barrel Heart in Dundas instead.

So I guess I'm not being terribly helpful :) But 4.9 rating on Google which is usually a decent indicator that they have their shit together. Doesn't look like being in the worst brewery list is warranted anymore!

I haven't been in years, but I remember the beer I had there on tap being good, and everything I took home in bottles being gross. That was early on though, and likely a packaging issue? I should give them another try.
