So I'm in the LCBO today (yah, crazy to go there this close to Christmas) and I see a can of Asura Premium Pale Ale from Cool India Brewing Company (London, ON).
I'd never heard of them, and while not unprecedented, it's not common for me to hear of a brewery for the first time by seeing their beer in the store.
I Googled them of course.

Really? If so, talk about under the radar.
Anybody ever heard of them??
Interestingly, the four beers shown on the website have different labels than what I got today, and the Asura is shown as an IPA, not the pale ale that I got.

dang, guess I'm not allowed to trya beer uniquely designed for Indians
Just as I experienced with Porter Baltique, I cannot call this up on www.lcbo.com. Are others experiencing this or am I doing something wrong?

Even after buying one, I checked and couldn’t find it on the LCBO website. I’ve never understood how this can happen. Don’t you have to have inventory to ring up a sale?

I ordered 3 of their different beers from Mother India for to-go orders, when they were on Queen St W.
They've had them there for a few years. Never saw them anywhere else other than Indian restaurants.
Funny though, I only ever got the Asura (Premium pale Ale), even though I tried ordering the strong ale and lager, lol. So I stopped trying and assumed they didn't actually have the other ones.
Mother India was owned by same people behind Maurya Indian restaurants, so they might serve them too if they have licensed locations.
The beer was aromatic, but I noted it tasted "synthetic".
