I'm in about a half dozen pools for the upcoming World Cup, but hope that some of you might want to join my group in the Sportnet one. Here's the invitation:

Speaking of the World Cup, has anyone noticed and/or purchased the special 2L "World Cup" bottle of Berliner Burgerbrau at the LCBO?

Although I think it's pricey, I couldn't stop purchasing one which I will crack open during the Finals!

This pool is just picking teams. That is, you pick which team you think will win each game (or if you think it will be a draw). There's even a helpful feature called "Consensus Picks" so you can follow the wisdom of the crowd. C'mon gang. It's really simple to sign up and we could get together after it's all over and toast the winner. Or something.

At first I didn't want to join your game. After all, you took the time to create it, and you were nice enough to invite everyone. The last thing I would want to do after such a nice gesture would be to whip your ass in a fantasy pool, but I changed my mind.

But seriously, I look forward to defending last place against all challengers.
