"The Reverend" Belgian Style Quadrupel Ale

Post by BeerMonger »

Tough day at the office, thought I would open up another new one that I picked up Stateside.

The Reverend is 10%, pours with little head but a nice caramel colour and taste. One of the ingredients is dark Belgian candy sugar which seems to explain the sweetish (but not overly so) taste. Almost approaching the Okocim Porter.

The bottle says "Created by God, Feared by Satan, Loved by All"

If you see it, give it a shot. I like it. A lot.

Had this and the Trippel while in L.A. Very good.
I don't always piss in a bottle but when I do...I prefer to call it Dos Equis.

Avery's sky high prices makes me wary of trying their beer.
