De Dolle Brouwery Private Order

Post by A »

I have been talking with Peter at Esprit about doing a private order for De Dolle Brouwers. For those of you who have not had De Dolle before, in my opinion they are different from most other belgian beers. Thier recipes tend to me more creative and unique.

Here is a list of the "standard" De Dolle beers:

Arabier http://www.ratebeer.com/Beer/de-dolle-arabier/6873/
Oerbier http://www.ratebeer.com/Beer/de-dolle-oerbier/6860/
Dulle Teve http://www.ratebeer.com/Beer/de-dolle-d ... tch)/6875/
Extra Export Stout http://www.ratebeer.com/Beer/de-dolle-e ... out/31936/
Stille Nacht http://www.ratebeer.com/Beer/de-dolle-s ... acht/6862/
Bos Keun http://www.ratebeer.com/Beer/de-dolle-boskeun/6861/

The Stille Nacht and Bos Keun are seasonal (I'm not sure about the Dulle Teve or Stout) but I would expect most or all of these to be available. The Stille Nacht is the winter seasonal and would be most likely to be available if we place the order later this year. (Peter would check availability when we want to place the order and we would get things together at that point)

Peter indicated he would need something like 60 cases to make it worth placing the order. He does not yet have prices but has indicated it would likely be something on the order of $80/case.

This thread is an initial feeler to see how much interest there would be in placing an order. If you are interested, please reply below.

Thanks!

I'd be very interested in sharing an order with people depending on pricing.

Great brewery, I could see myself splitting something or other with some investors...good call.

I'd go for a case of the stout, and I could probably rope a few others in too. So I'm in.

There probably won't be much if any interest from the Ottawa crew. We get De Dolle through Bieropholie a couple of times a year. Our prices are around $90 per case except for Stille Nacht which was over $100. Peter's prices sound like they will be pretty good.

A very recent order also contained Oeral that might be another one to ask about.

One other thing to note if you are getting friends together - the case size from De Dolle is 20 instead of 24.

Interesting. Perhaps if we cant get enough response here could we add on to the next Bieropholie order? Where can we find out more about that order?

Thanks for all the responses so far everyone!

I'd be in for a case or two if Esprit is doing an order.

Does it come in cool crates or just your standard cardboard box?

White cardboard boxes with a black picture on the side. There is usually one of the bottle labels on the box to let you know what's inside, but not always. Nice, but nothing fancy.

Well, so far interest is well short of what we would need to make it worthwhile doing. I'll give it a couple more days.

Bringin up an old thread here....as I missed it. I recently sampled some of this breweries beers, and can say I'd be in for a case or two if it were ever to happen....
