I suppose I can understand Steamwhistle's 'Do one thing really, really well' philosophy. But I'm a little confused by their recent marketing approach of insinuating that to attempt to brew multiple styles (i.e. 'a stout or an ale') would result in an automatic dip in quality. Why are they selling themselves short? Surely they could manage to brew at least one more style of beer while maintaining the same quality standards, no?
Unless of course they are implying that other brewers who attempt multiple styles cannot possibly produce something of optimal quality. Good grief. I'm assuming that they are not a part of the OCB?
Ya, ya, it's a competitive market and all that, but come on, that's just ridiculous.

The first time I heard that ad I was driving back from Grand River Brewing with 5 different kinds of beers in my trunk and I thought to myself "oh well, I guess I'll really have to try to enjoy all of my shitty beers from a non-focused brewery". Haha. Oh brother. Using that criteria, Westvleteren, De Struise and Lost Abby must not care about the quality of their beers.
