A ST IPA followed by a bomber of Stone Ruination.
I don't always piss in a bottle but when I do...I prefer to call it Dos Equis.

Tankhouse, Thunderhead IPA, 606 IPA, Rogue Hazlenut Nectar, Cameron's Auburn - all split with the lovely wife (sadly she bagged most of the IPAs).

Yep! Its my one desert island beer if I was forced to choose.

Now I had to go and crack one open. It's a July 2004 vintage.

I have some 2004 Orval still drinking well.

Last night I had some more CHAPELLE LENCLOS MADIRAN 2003 which is a varietal of 100% tannat - an impenetrably dense wine with solid and refined flavors.

Very finished for a 2003, perhaps they micro-oxygenate to help 'age' the legendarily powerful and long-lived Tannat grape. Madiran is a wine to seek out.

Then a nip of Dogfish Head 66 minute IPA.

Aventinus weizen eisbock. Great, but not as great as I remember. I've changed, not the beer. I think right now I'd probably take the regular weisse then the aventinus before the eisbock. Still 'frigging A'. as they say in the 'shwa, and I'll be buying a few to lay away.

I'm listening to Michael Ignatieff's 2000 Massey Lectures. Beat that for a fun night!

I still have some left from 2004, but few. Thank goodness the SAQ keeps it on regular list and I can take a quick walk over the bridge to get some. Also I am very thankful they keep Chimey Bleu on regular list there as well.

Enjoying the snow-day at home with a GR Jubilation Spiced Ale (gotta love working for places that actually have "snow-days"). Going to break out a Unibroue 17 with dinner to keep warm.

Had some Marston's Oyster Stout in between snow shoveling sessions this afternoon. Incredibly mild stout. Boney, you're mention of Unibroue has inspired me to go out and buy a 750mL of any Unibroue product, or maybe some Chimay Rouge (I'm just that easy to tempt :P). I just love higher ABV brews on days like this!
