What's it like? It has an impressive list of breweries....and it's freeadmision with a buck a token!!
Can you get tickets online (even though they are free) ? Hate to go all that way to find it full.
I dont have many open weekends this summer. I'd like to take advantage of this one.

Introducing Light Mode! If you would like a Bar Towel social experience that isn't the traditional blue, you can now select Light Mode. Go to the User Control Panel and then Board Preferences, and select "Day Drinking" (Light Mode) from the My Board Style drop-down menu. You can always switch back to "Night Drinking" (Dark Mode). Enjoy!

Its a quirk of the search system. Try your same search again, but when you click on a thread remove "&highlight=mondial" from the address and you should be able to access it just fine.efman wrote:Search gives me...when I click the links...and there was nothing current (first three pages) when I looked.Forbidden

While the tokens are $1 each, many samples cost more than one token. I believe the website says "samples are between 1 and 5 tokens each", although some rare/expensive beers can go for many more.efman wrote:What's it like? There is no advance reservation system, you just have to show up and take your chances.efman wrote:Can you get tickets online (even though they are free) ? Hate to go all that way to find it full.
It's been 10 years since I was last there, and it's in a new venue now, but my understanding is that it's a pretty large venue. I don't know if it ever "sells out", but I've heard that it can get pretty rammed on the Saturday in particular.
You should go. Even if the festival is too crowded, Montreal is an amazing beer city.efman wrote:I dont have many open weekends this summer. I'd like to take advantage of this one.
Most samples were in the $2-5 range last year, with a decent number of the more rare stuff from the US and international being $4-8 and some as much as $10+.
Most of the more expensive stuff I tried was well worth it, others were not. I had some that were ~$7 (ie. Maui brewing, Boulevard) that were much better value than the $5 stuff from Quebec... The local stuff seems to vary from ridiculously cheap to crazy expensive depending on the brewery.
