Decent, one of the better Ontario IPAs in the bottle... which isn't saying much. Better than what I can get in Buffalo? Hardly, I can get a dozen better IPAs there.

As for my earlier comment to Derek, that was Rob posting under my id. But I agree...

I don't even know what you're talking about. When did I compare it to IPAs in Buffalo? Homerism? I live nowhere near Trafalgar, and I hate most of their beers, just for the record.

Detroit what? is just a silly thing I occasionally put at the end of some of my posts. It means nothing. Its from a Dr. Dre music video if you must know.
My bad then. Carry on.

I'd respond with some witticism but I'm too busy eating another piece of that RIS Cheesecake for breakfast. Who's pwned now, fool?

NEWSFLASH:

"Hop Nouveau, while decently made, isn't the greatest OR hoppiest beer in the world. Some people like it at any rate."

It's Friday guys, stop tiring your lips out reading BarTowel & go to a pub.

I'd love to be in a pub right now debating the merits of the Hop Nouveau, but apparently when I chose to get married last year at this time I should have known how many great events would be put on this weekend. So its off to Niagara for some wine tasting and maybe a little fun at the Casino.

If it had the hopping rate of a Durham hophead I'd be all over it. As it stands, it's a great session brew. The price is a little steep, like any fresh produce at boutique market!

Given the location, they're probably Willamette, Perle, Sterling or Nugget:

I wasn't getting any herbalness from Perle... but then I've never had wet Perle before!
'twas sterling and nugget

I'll be tempted to try it again and see if I like it better on tap. I can't always predict what I'm going to order 10 beers down the road though!

I really enjoyed this at C'est What last night, enough to go out and buy a bottle. Curious to see if there's a difference between the two.

I wasn't expecting much from this. However, I was pleasantly surprised. It's a tasty brew. Nothing overly special, but quaffable, if you will. Price and product don't seem to match up though. The fresh wet hopped aspect is nice, but over-all I feel like someone stole my lunch money.

Both bottle and tap were on par. The bottle I had earlier seemed a little richer in mouthfeel. The colour was a little deeper and hazier. In other words, I liked the bottle version a little better.

I think I liked it more at C'est What last night than when I had it from a bottle.

Had some at CW and was pleasantly surprised. It may have been the best new beer of the night for me! That may be damning with faint praise... Anyways, it's a bit too mild to become A regular brew for me but I would happily drink it again in similarly good condition.
