For anyone who's interested, the new Mill St. Bock is on tap at the Bow & Arrow.

Cass, Do you know if Micheal Hancock is the brewer of this beer?

He is not. This is a purely Mill Street effort - see elsewhere on this board (I was led to believe that it was another Michael Hancock-Mill St. collaboration, but Michael Hancock corrected me on here).

Now I have a couple bottles of the Bock to take with me on my holidays, but will there be a Barley Wine waiting when I get back? It's either the worst-kept secret in town or the cruelest rumour - can anyone shed light?

Stopped by the Bow this afternoon with the sole purpose of trying the Mill Street Bock. Another quality effort in my humble opinion...which again begs the question...how can a brewery that makes the Coffee Porter, Tankhouse Ale and Bock...make the organic?

While I don't know the details of their business plan, I think you've probably got it backwards.

By launching the organic, they've been able to generate volume & revenue that now allows them to brew the better beer without going out of business

Perhaps if some of the other brewers took on well marketed, profitable 'piss lager' then they'd be able to make money AND brew good beer too (a seemingly near-impossible feat in Ontario....)

Good point...they can go on making Organic for as long as they want if that means that they can make the other stuff.
