Good choice Sid, it is a great summer beer.

Was it ever. I knew should have bought more than 2 bottles!!!!!!

Now onto a Rogue Double Mocha Porter. Far far too much carbonation which just totally ruins the tastebuds. Aroma is understated and I really don't know what the Double stands for; I do know it was double the price of regular Rogue beers, maybe that's it? Darn it

Uhm...hmmm.... To be fair, I must compare it with a bottle that is only 3 years and 2 months old.

Sierra Nevada 30th Anniversary Ale. This is a BIG beer. Loads of dark chocolate bitterness, roasty flavours but with a lot of alcohol burn too. Deffo one for ageing.

Had a saranac ipa and black and tan both were excellent for what you pay for them. The ipa had a very nice hop presence but not enough to be called an ipa in my opinion. the black and tan tastes exactly like the head strong version, and that being said not bad at all. Than i had a lagunitas hop stoopid which just tasted like skunked crap. Not anything like what i thought i would get after reading the reviews. I was very dissapointed and I hope to try a good bottle soon.

Ninkasi "Believer" Double Red Ale. Great malt backbone that is subtly cut through with hop bitterness. Real nice drinker, kinda reminds me of Durham's Red Dragon!

I bought a 6 pack of Scotch Irish Sgt Major IPA as my store got in quite a bit and I don't see it often around here. Tasting great. Bright fresh hops just like I remember it being when I used to session it at the Judge.

Having a Founders Old Curmudgeon. Gonna follow up with a Bell's Hoplsam and maybe an Edmund Fitzgerald Porter. First time trying any of these beers. The OC is excellent.

Year-and-a-half old North Coast Old Rasputin.

The first beer that threw me headfirst into craft brewing. If there was one beer I wish was available in the LCBO it might be this one - affordable and damn good.

Yesterday I went round to my brother-in-law's for some great barbecue and some good times playing with my baby nephew. The weather called for hops:

Red Racer IPA
Victory Prima Pils
Black Oak Ten Bitter Years

All great beers.
