Festivale Plus - Secret Beer available Sept 9 only

Post by SteveB »

AVAILABLE SEPTEMBER 9TH!

Brewers of Alt Beer in Düsseldorf will occasionally, and secretly, brew a special, extra malty, extra hoppy version of their beer and only announce it the day before its release. It’s known as ‘sticke’ – German slang for ‘secret’

Beau's All Natural Brewing Co. is happy to attempt an Ontario recreation of this happy event, by brewing an amped up version of FestivAle – our summer seasonal beer which recently won a GOLD medal at Mondial de la Biere in Strasbourg, France.

Festivale Plus will be available TOMORROW (Thursday September 9th) in a limited amount at the brewery and select restaurants and bars, which hopefully will sell out in one day in keeping with the ‘sticke’ tradition. Check below for a complete list.

Festivale Plus is brewed with lots of extra malts, lots of extra hops – including a first wort hopping, and aged extra-long on oak.

wow this is ground breaking!

an ontario brewer brewed a special batch of beer and then let the craft beer loving community know what the special beer is, and where and when they could go purchase it.

i hope this event goes well and the batch sells out in a day as Steve hopes.

ill be at the Kiwi in Cambridge tommorow night!

Because of this, I just made lunch plans at C'est What for tomorrow. I'm assuming it will be tapped by then?

I had a great customer service experience with Beau's yesterday trying to order this for delivery in Ottawa. I had to ask around at work to meet their minimum order of 20 litres but managed to get enough interest in 30 minutes for 18 (!) growlers. That makes it easy to split the $25 delivery fee.

Looking forward to this showing up at work next week :D

Had a pint today at lunch and loved it! Good job Beau's! My co-workers that aren't all that into beer also enjoyed it.

Just posted my review of this beer on BA. I can't believe the entire keg went in one day! Great show of support for this brewery and Chancey Smith's. I'm curious as to how the beer performed at other bars. Any spots that didn't manage to push the full keg?
