What're you drinking right now?
Wild Rose Oktoberfest in the brewery taproom. Nice stuff. Fairly bitter with a good whack of spicey tettnanger hops.
Missed the cask by about an hour......which is exactly how long it took to drain it. Honestly, I wish they'd crack open their Friday casks a little later than 4pm and at least give me a chance of getting some at least once while I live here.

the most recent brew was the closest (or at least my favourite) and what we're aiming for tomorrow: http://biergotter.org/recipes/2009-07-25-gonzo.shtmlDerek wrote:I saw that you've tweaked your recipe a few times... let me know where it's at... I gotta brew it.

I brewed a kitchen sink, big hoppy stout last December to clear out ingredients from the previous year. I tried a bottle a few weeks ago, and I can finally taste some roast character in the finish. It is that hoppy! Awesome stuff.grub wrote:the most recent brew was the closest (or at least my favourite) and what we're aiming for tomorrow: http://biergotter.org/recipes/2009-07-25-gonzo.shtmlDerek wrote:I saw that you've tweaked your recipe a few times... let me know where it's at... I have nothing home brewed to declare!
But I am drinking the slightly odd Sam Adams Winter Welcome Ale (not bad served nice and cold). And I'm making some Borscht with Chimay Bleue. Borscht is pretty easy to fake together something tasty in 25 minutes. I could see adding some top-quality sausage and different root vegetables.

I love sausages. Especially in a fest.
