Just put 2 Great Lakes Edmund Fitzgerald poters in the ice box in honour of the ships 35th anniversary today. After work ill crank the Gordon Lightfoot and enjoy these world class porters.

Funny, I did the same thing after I read the paper this morning.

Unfortunately I only have one bottle. :(

Didn't realise today was the anniversary. Oddly enough, we're brewing an Ed Fitz clone soon and all the ingredients arrived today. Wish I had some of the real stuff (fingers crossed for it being on tap in Buffalo).

ed fitz is a personal favourite, but unfortunately i don't have any on hand... i'll have to find some the next time i'm stateside.

i'm rather fond of the rheostatics cover of lightfoot's track. great dynamics. i love how sparse it is at points and the guitar and/or drums just sort of rip through. good stuff.

Agreed, I've always loved that version, seeing it live a couple times was stunning.
