Interesting, I like this quote:

"The store’s initial selection included eight hundred brands of hard liquor which, in the eyes of the Telegram, were arranged “like brazen hussies in a nightclub.”

It reminded me also of this book (I haven't read it yet) about how the LCBO used to track alcohol consumption.
