Just need to ensure that I can book the time off work. I'll confirm tomorrow.

Good work guys! We are now at 15 confirmed with about 4 or 5 more of you as possibles. We're probably looking at no more than 25 for brew day, to keep it manageable for Mr.Lackey, so any fence sitters who haven't spoken up yet should do so if they want to attend.

Really important as well that if, for any reason, you have a change in plan and cannot make the brew day that you post it here or in the Facebook group prior to the day. I'd love this to run as smoothly as possible and no-shows would be a drag for everyone.

Cheers,
Jon

Hey Jon,

Really appreciate you taking the lead on this.
Also, if there is anyone from Niagara who wants to car pool let me know.

Cheers,

Ken

need to double-check my schedule, but i'd like to come out for the brewday too. should be fun! this might be the one time i'll allow an exception for my intense disdain for the term "cascadian dark ale". though perhaps we could further fuck with the style classifications and make a "cass-cadian pale ale". after all, the CDA idea came around when people didn't like the name "black ipa"... lets twist it back around the other way!

At this point it's "BarTowel Anniversary CASScadian Dark Ale". Mike and the gang who brew the beer will have the last say on that...we're also not worried about it being wordy or commercially viable since it's never going to be a beer that goes to market.

Stay tuned~!

This sounds good to me as I'm not a fan of the style either. We simply couldn't resist the delicious pun in CASScadian dark. I think we shoud def put a spin on it

I'd also like to chime in and say I'm not a fan of Cascadian Dark Ales and I'm thrilled that it won't be exactly that -- put a spin on it indeed!

Viggo and I brewed a beer similar to a Cass dark but with Westmalle yeast, it turned out really nice I thought...

I've booked the afternoon off work and told my wife that I'd be home late.

Please put my name on the list.

I am really looking forward to the afternoon of brewing, the sure to be tasty beer and the chance to put some faces to the Bartowel names.

Tom
