Monty Python Holy Grail Ale
Just picked thus up, and certainly a winner. The hop flavor seems unique, kind of a cross between Goldings and Cascade resulting in a lemony, herbal taste with licorice or anise in the background. The malt background is pure England, similar to that of Fuller 1845 but a bit lighter. In fact, the heather-like taste reminded me a bit of Orval, as if this is a junior version. When you taste this, or Fuller 1845, one can sense that this is ale at its most authentic. I admire a number of Canadian bottled ales but none really equals the style and complexity of these English beers.
