No, they educate kids to be ineffectual wusses, in a world where 'nobody fails or comes last place and everyone is the winner.'Ale's What Cures Ya wrote:Schools don't teach things like mathematics anymore.cannondale wrote:

Freshness? I recall that the last time this happened the bottles were basically at their best before date...midlife crisis wrote:Hey, thanks for the head's up on that. I went over there this afternoon, and sure enough, there are 20-30 Phillips Hop Circle and a bunch of Amnesiacs sitting there in the clearance section! Provenance and age unknown. For a buck-fifty and three-twenty, repectively, what could go wrong?
I did the same today, and though I over-chilled this bottle of Circle everything seems fine.TheSevenDuffs wrote:Freshness? Yep, twelve singles plus two bombers for 24 bucks, nice deal. West Coast for less than local.

I left plenty, was there at 4pm. Thanks for heads up Wittaker.

But not the children's children - I don't think they should be reproducing at such a young age.JesseM wrote: ... Think of the children!
By the way the Amnesiac strikes me as the better of the two, because it's more hoppy and yet doesn't clobber you with stupid overkill in bitterness or ABV. Buy all you can!

I just picked up some Hop Circle, there is still around 30 or more in the display and half as many Amnesiacs. The Hop Circles are loose bottles so I wasn't able to find any dates on the packaging but I am drinking one now and think it is pretty tasty although it is certainly past its prime.
15 bottles rang in at $299 initially!! Although we may laugh at the cashier having to use a calculator, I am glad she was able to re-work the price!

Yeah I'd agree it's at the 'IPA arrived in India' stage rather than the 'just left Britain' full-of-aroma stage*. And still very drinkable with your Aloo Gobi. The Amnesiac seems to be in much better shape, so hope you got a few, cheers.toweringpine wrote:The Hop Circles are loose bottles so I wasn't able to find any dates on the packaging but I am drinking one now and think it is pretty tasty although it is certainly past its prime.
(* Noobs: they used to ship this heavily-hopped beer style over water to India. Hops help to preserve beer.)
