Grand River Brewery - not selling growlers now.

Post by Guybrush »

Went there last weekend, found out they aren't selling growlers anymore. The horror, the horror, the horror..... what's next? No Jubilation?

Now where am I supposed to get a 2L jug of delicious beer in the Cambridge area?

they have been moving in this direction for a while, they are no longer buying growlers but they will continue to fill whats get returned. once they have enough growlers back they fill them and sell them.

as the existing growlers either dont get returned or break or other wise go missing they will be no more growlers.

This.

Add to that that I was under the impression they were moving to growlers only for the seasonal releases.

To the OP: You can still get their beer, it's just in 500ml bottles now. Stock up!

Is there a chance we'll see Jubilation in some Toronto stores? Or will we be seeing Russian Gun?

I think the gun is going to LCBO but not sure about the Jubilation.

AFAIK Jubilation was never submitted to LCBO but Russian Gunn did get picked up add hoc, which means that stores that want it can order it but its not part of an official release. Things may have changed since Sept but that was the plan as of then.
