i asked Josh Rubin from the Star. he said he'd look into it.
so, in other words, no answer yet. :)

i assume that St B didn't come in due to supply issues or lab issues. so sorry. its a St B-free winter, i'm afraid.

Do they repeat lab test on new batches? Its been in before, so why would it need retesting?

Sad, I'd been looking forward to that one.

I'm still hoping it will come in February, along with the other Belgians (Chimay, Westmalle, De Konink etc), but I pray we don't get screwed like we did with Westmalle last time.

St. Bernardus #257857

Chimay Grand Reserve Canister #197905

Having the LCBO number makes it easier when you ask about it, then they dont give you the " WTF are you talking about".

You don't have an extra Fullers 2010 Vintage by chance? I'm still looking for one, as my series goes back to 2006 but I am missing 2010. I have an extra 2008 if interested.
Anyone have any idea of the optimum aging lenght for the 2011 Vintage Ale. I only had the available cash to buy two this year. I am thinking I might drink 1 for my birthday in March and then let the other one hang out in my crawl space for a few years. In the last few years I have bought a bunch (2009 was the year I got married so I try to have one year year on our anniversary, and 2010 was when my daughter was born so same thing on her birthday). Nothing really memorable happened in 2011 so I am thinking of just holding onto one bottle until it tastes really awesome, any suggestions?

I'm still in search of a Fullers 2010 for anyone who has mentioned they've got one....send me a PM. I'll be in San Diego soon and can bring back something from there if interested.

Kel - there was some talking about aging the Vintage Ales in another thread...check it out:

Yea I read that thread (and actually commented on it) but it seems to be just general information. I was wondering if anyone had any specific info on what the best amount of time to let Vintage Ale age would be.

On a similar note I still have a bottle of Bernardus 12 from last year. I was going to drink it over christmas but I was sick so I didn't. Any guesses on how long I could leave that one for?

They are currenlty being stored in the unheated/uninsulated crawlspace of my basement. I have a thermometer in there and it is around 10 C. Not sure what I expect, I just know that you can leave both of those beers for awhile, but if you leave them for too long they start getting bad. I am curious and willing to let them sit for awhile, but I don't want to leave them for years only to find out it would have been better to drink them a year or two earlier.

If it helps, I just had a bottle of 2006, and it was friggin' brilliant. I also had the 2004 and 2005 a year or two beyond their dates, and the 2004 was excellent, and the 2005 was just okay.

So, when looking at the LCBO internal system today, these products went from "New Item" to "Delisted" I'm going to go out on a limb and say that these will not be showing up, which sucks because I drank my last Chimay Blue over christmas.....sorry to be the bearer of this horseshit news.
