Cafe Brussels

Anyone been to Cafe Brussels lately, or is it now closed? If the latter, does anyone have a favourite place for mussels and Belgian beer? Smokeless comes to mind, of course. Others?

I'm quite sure it is still open. A great place for mussels and beer, for sure.

My favourite place for mussels & beer is the Riverside Cafe near Queen & Broadview. They do a couple of dozen different types of mussels, and have a good number of Belgian beers available, along with a wide array of Canadian micros and a few other international selections.

Thanks. I couldn't find it on the web but I think I had a slight spelling malfunction. Riverside sounds good too!

Beerbistro and Esplanade Biermarkt are also two good places for mussels and frites and both have a great selection of Belgian beers.

cafe brussel is a nice liitle place with great mussels and beer. I might be biased, but imo, the best mussels in the city are the bacon and brune mussels at beerbistro.

Kid, have you been to Cafe Brussel since they moved to the Danforth? I'd hardly describe the place as "little" anymore.

I actually said liitle. and I have been to the cafe brussel on the danforth, and no, I guess it isn't very liitle.
