You don't want to get too adventurous too soon. It is Ontario after all.icemachine wrote:Bringing back the same 3 lame brews. Pass.
I would love to see a (re)start up brewery come out of the gates with something insane as their first brew. Market be damned!

I can understand if they came back with the amber and either of the other two lagers, but you'd think by now brewers would realize that consumers want something that pushes away from the standard Molbatts lineups. Dump the light lager and give us a bock or a shwarzbier that will get people interested

I actually drank their light beer at one time... nice flavour for something so 'easy drinking'. A bit like a lighter German Pils. It was a great lawnmower brew...

Totally unlike the macro's 'lite' brews... though I've often said I prefer Blue light over Blue, as it has less bad flavour.
But yeah, with a new name, you think they'd go with some new products as well.

"one of Canada’s most highly-regarded microbrewers"
I guess I have been living under a rock, I don't recall ever having one of their beers. My bad
"Only a week ago, the company won gold for its Premium Blonde at the 2007 Canadian Brewing Awards."
When was this article published?
From another perspective, not all micros should have to be sensational. There is a lot of value in just having a basic good quality local brewer to turn to. Ratebeer be damned.

And price. For the macros, anyhow.skaghevn wrote:Excellent marketing. Good marketing might allow a beer to experience a temporary upsurge in sales (ie: Black Label); excellent marketing keeps the sales pumping.SteelbackGuy wrote:I wonder how beers like Stella or even Blue survive for that matter.
