IPA_Lover wrote:Well apparently the dude above got some there Saturday. So I dunno what's going on.
By the sounds of it midlife crisis got some because Bill was willing to go to the back to get some whereas the two LCBO employees last night didn’t seem to be willing to do much other than look befuddled and suggest calling the number on the receipt, despite the fact that they were told there was likely some in the back. Neither seemed willing to look.
(To be fair I have been in this situation before and most LCBO employees are pretty helpful. Just not last night.)
I suspect that the 14 listed on the LCBOs site in the back somewhere. Or not. It doesn’t really matter. Lots more will come, so there’s no real point in scrambling to get 14 beers that may or may not exist. IMO.

Just got back from Cooper St. There were two Hop Head and one Hopsinjoor on the shelf (there are now zero of each on the shelf). Guy in front of me had four Hop Head in his basket. I didn't ask if there was more in back.
There was also a shelf tag for the Ovisholt, but there was none on the shelf.

So they DO have it? I was there Saturday and they said they it wasn't in yet. And by "it" I mean the Hophead.
I also went on Saturday, probably around 17:00. Like I mentioned in my post on the last page, you've got to be insistent even a littly pushy. First rep told me they definitly don't have it because he checked in the back and was told it would be in by next week. I suspected he was telling me a fairytale so I thanked him for his effort and went right over his shoulder to ask another rep. The other guy (a heavily tatooted gentleman) went to the back and got both the Hophead and the Hopsinjoor within 2 minutes.

Also posted this on the Tree thread.
About an hour ago I picked the only two cases at my local LCBO. They were still out back. I asked and the employee went back and got them for me with no issues, although they do know me very well at this store. I believe there is only 480 cases for the entire province, so if you see some and want it, you better grab it fast.

Just an FYI...Liberty Village LCBO had 3 bottles of the Hophead and about 16 bottles of the Hopsinjoor after I left with a few of each last night.

I was just there after they opened this morning, they had about 10 Hopheads and half a case of Hopsinjoor on the shelf.

WTF time does your store open at? I didn't think we served breakfast at the LCBO.

9:30 am, but they don't serve cheezy blasters for breakfast unfortunately.

I wish they did.

And for the record, I wasn't amongst the crowd outside the door tapping their toes before they unlock the doors, that's just bad form.

See, and that is the problem. We need blasters!!!
So they have 9:30 stores there, do they? We have some here too. I thought it was a London pilot thing, but it is obviously caught on. Usually the 9:30 customers are the old drunks and breakfast club types. Funny to see them waiting for the store to open and rush to their daily mickey of whatever.

I think all the stores in Hamilton are 9:30 am openings.
We are an impoverished area since we don't deserve Infinium so its a couple of cans of Old Milwaukee and not a mickey.

I know I'm tired about having to constantly drive across the border and make private orders just so I can get my hand on real CRAFT cheesy blasters. This system needs to change!

I use to live by the Beer Store at Adelaide & Lorne... there was ALWAYS people lined up on weekend mornings, often with shopping carts full of returns. I remember someone once passing out... supposedly due to the heat wave.
