Well, I got over there tonight and it was a nice finale to the main events.
About 12 beers were still being poured. I had mine in the very pleasant company of Midlife and Nick Pashley for a while too.
Ralph gave tastes and I decided upon Black Katt Stout and Keefe's Oak-Chip Stout (I did a personal 2:1 blend, superb), and a half and half of Grand River's mild ale and 70 IBU big bruiser (I think had I had a second pint I'd have done 2:1 mild to that big pale/bitter ale).
The pumpkin beer seemed to be pouring well as most of the others still (no pun intended) and I doubt anything will be left one hour from now.
All I can say is, "Ralph, you're the greatest".

Hey Gary, not to be too funny but I think you will be feeling the effect of drinking the Granite Stout later this evening. The beer had well and truly turned by 5pm tonight and resembled a pint of Sarsons. I'm surprised you went for it, even as a mixer. Good luck!!!!!!

Nope, I don't think the effect was to create a vatted beer, as on Saturday and Sunday it was in top condition. It was a slightly thin stout but there was no unusual flavour as last nights pouring gave off.

Just commenting on the Fullers brands...they were tasting phenomenal and were for me the highlights of the day, especially the London Pride, which was tasting much better than the day the tickets were sold. My mates and I tried the other casks and the only one that compared favourably in that style was the Jackson best bitter brewed in honour of Michael Jackson, the "beer hunter".
Some of my better pics. Most of them are really grainy, I need to be more careful with my ISO settings apparently.

too bad, it was delicious!Derek wrote:I have to stop saving those palat-bruisers until the end... 'cause I missed out on the hopocalypse!
the pins ran out by half way through the sessions last year, and i expected the same this year. anytime somebody told me they were saving it for later, i suggested they should get it before it was gone. guess you either didn't get that message or just ignored it.
