Well it's your time, but why not just send a clear email to the appropriate LC contact instead of an 'angry letter.' It might get a positive response.

So that and - I agree - making the best of stuff you mentioned.

I've tried the emails thing. All you get back is an insulting form letter filled with pointless rhetoric that doesn't address anything.

Which is why you have to be a mean old son of a bitch until they give you something just to go away. I am the son of one of those guys. Recently my old man got a weekend of free camping just because someone was on the site he Reserved. I'm the opposite, someone could piss in my soup and I wouldn't complain. Guess that's why I'm so bitchy online.

Re: SuperCollider....

One thing I wish the LC would do is simply ask for a sample bottle from a batch to test and if there's a problem a brewery could hold onto it's bottles and properly store them and deal with the labelling issue.

It just seems a shame that they had to sit in a warehouse unrefrigerated for so long...

I finally made it to the 2 Cooper street LCBO location and WOW are you Toronto guys lucky. There's stuff there that won't be in St Catharines for months, if ever. Made it back with LTM Balitique Porter, Celebrator, Red Racer and a bunch of other stuff I don't even remember. I had to stop myself from wandering into the Wine Vintages section so I didn't blow all my money.
I don’t care what the U.N. says, I don’t recognize countries that don’t produce beer.

Yeah it's not bad. I used to think Toronto was the center of the Universe; now I just know it is. ;)

We're a land of cities that sprawl into dull suburbia instead of congealing into interesting urban centers. Still, the monopoly that runs liquor could at least try not to disregard so many cities outside its high-volume market.

Its too bad some of the smaller market LCBOs couldn't have some kind of pre-ordering program for the seasonal releases. I'm sure its largely the same people buying them, why not give em a checklist in advance, and then bring in at least enough to satisfy those people.

I kinda thought this blog post might be relevant to the discussion.

Likely the most concise and well written letter I've seen.
If you`re reading this, there`s a 15% chance you`ve got a significant drinking problem. Get it fixed, get recovered!

i own my own business.
that has zero to do with the LCBO being a money-making government-run monopoly.
open the market like they did out in BC

a telling sign as to how backwards the LCBO is?
having a Private Order desk, and the fact that their phone's ringing off the hook (or is busy) every day they're open.
so much private order demand/enquiry that it shows that Ontario is too big to have one company making our drink selection decisions for us all.

and as a scientist, i still have no idea how Cantillon's OK for Quebec and BC but its poisonous for Ontario???

Very nice. They are doing much better recently, and there is nothing wrong with doing as you suggest and saying "That's good, here's how I think you can do even better".

However, we must not forget that Len needs to be personally persecuted.

Clearly, Len needs a damned good thrashing. I mean, we warned you, Len, but just... man. I can't believe the things that guy did.

Down with Len.
