Just polished off a growler of Mill Street Milk Stout with my girlfriend, my boss and his wife. All enjoyed it.

Creemore Pilsner, a very nice-drinking beer whether or not you agree it's a real Bohemian. This is one for the good beer crystal!

Hmmm... that's some incentive to drop off the brews I've got for ya! Maybe later next week? (though it may not last that long with you two at it).

Sleeman IPA earlier (bought a 12-pack just to try it), drinkable but still a Sleeman product. But followed that up with an Orval. Nice, seemed more malty to me than the others I`ve had.

When I was at the LCBO tonight picking up some more Orval, there was this couple who were curiously checking the remaining bottles of Orval left on the shelf (about 8). They were about my age and buying some sort of cheap big bottle of probably rum but maybe wisky. I grabbed 3 bottles and told them they should give it a try, that it would be quite different but very tasty. They enthusiastically said they`d give it a try and I can only assume they did.

I`m kind of wondering now just what exactly I did to those people........

How do non-beer geeks generally percieve Orval I wonder....

I always try and advise people who are standing around the beer section of the LCBO with a look of puzzlement on their faces. Usually end up seeing them at the cash with a mix 8 of Euro lagers, but sometimes you see people grab some OCB products or a seasonal.

Yeah I like to influence people as much as I can who are wondering around the areas with better beers. I do it more for the reactions though, some people give me the weirdest looks, it`s kind of funny. Personally I would MUCH rather see someone pick out 8 Euro lagers than buy 8 Heinekens or 8 of something else shitty that they can parade around like its something special.

Had a pint of Tankhouse earlier at 'The last temptation' in Kensington market (bargain at $4.95 tax inc!)

Right now I'm having a Liefmans Kriekbier. :)
