I remember them charging a pretty penny for the cans of Robohop when they were in the retail store. I don't remember the exact amount but I think it might have been around $5 per can.

I can understand $5/can for a limited run IIPA - $9/bomber is ridiculous

i'd rather have paid the $4.50 per can and bought a few of these. At almost 9 bucks a bottle i'll buy one, and only if there aren;t any cans when I hit GLB later this week.

It's a lot, but not totally out of whack with American DIPA bomber prices. For example, Stone Enjoy By is usually $7.99-$8.99 per bomber. I've seen bottles of Moylan's Hopsickle Imperial IPA for north of $10 a bomber. So, not just an Ontario thing.
Though I've bought Pliny the Elder 500 mL bottles for ~$5. Who even knows with beer prices!?

That could depend where you saw them. I know they are on the shelf in Buffalo, so if that is where they were $10+ a bottle, it would also include the cost of transportation between CA and NY.

Since I don't have the receipts around I just quickly checked CA-based
http://www.qualityliquorstore.com/ for price checks. Sure, they are bound to be a little more pricey because they are an online retailer, but they are in California and you have to pay shipping yourself, so they maybe aren't a bad price check source. Double Jack is $8.99 a bomber, while Union Jack is $5.99.. yet 6 packs of Velvet Merlin are still under $10, so go figure.

Might pick up a bottle.
Does anyone know what the cans were selling for at the brewery?

So, I'd be better off driving down to the brewery and stocking up on cans then...?

I had a friend pick some up for me yesterday. I assume they would still be in stock, but if it were me I would call before making the drive. Cans > Bottles anyways

Plus less time in trucks/warehouse.
