Crap is crap, disgustingly sweet synthetic shit is never going to age into anything drinkable, at least in my view (because I can see into the future you know).

Okanagan Old English Baltic Porter while playing euchre. A bit too sweet, but not as sweet as the victory.

That's quite a denouement there Len :P.

Enjoying the hell out of a Corporal's Bitter Brown, aka Corporal Punishment (the non-LCBO pussy name for it). I really have never had a bad bottle of this one, where as with Heritage's other products, well, you all know how 'consistent' they can be.

This bottle's a bit weird though, serious floaties, bottled in March, no head, yet still delicious and hoppy as hell! Such an awesome malt body to it as well. I think this is actually one of my all-around favourite Ontario brews. It almost makes me want to give Sgt. Major or Stuart's Session another chance to redeem themselves (sorry, yet another chance of redemption).

Hey Jesse.

It certainly looks like t a denouement, but thankfully it wasn't in that order. :)

Yep, you got me. I'm a fraud, and the only reason I hate Trafalgar is that they make me realize this unfortunate fact. I think most people hate them for the same reason. Trafalgar is actually the pinnacle in beer-art acheivment of our age, and us, the little people, ignorant and blind, just do not 'get' them. Damn. I knew eventually someone would call me out on this since it's been so obvious for so long. I had a glimmer of hope when I enjoyed their Elora ESB, but perhaps that was just an anomaly.........

(My sarcasm detector has me at about an 8 right now out of 10 possible ISU's, International Sarcasm Units)

Last winter, I bought three bottles of Trafalgar from the LCBO. I got an Oak Aged Rye, an Abbey Belgian Spiced Ale, and a Smoked Oatmeal Stout. This was my "last chance" go for Trafalgar, and boy, did they blow it! All three looked, smelled and tasted identical; sour and putrid. We each had one sip, then poured it down the drain. Three 650ml bottles down the drain in about 5 minutes. It was absolutley disgusting. Never again will I waste my money on anything from Trafalgar.

They've actually pretty much cleaned up the infection issue seemingly, many of their recently released stuff can actually be consumed without gagging, however, beer can still suck that isn't infected! Anyways, enough about Trafalgar, I enjoyed a Trois Pistoles earlier with Easter dinner, and am currently enjoying a wonderful Orval.

Stone Imperial Russian Stout, started a bottle with a chocolate truffle cake for desert after easter dinner, and am slowly finishing it off. I went off on a shopping spree and premere gormet in Buffalo last July. along with Achel extra, this is one of the two beers i would hide in my carry-on baggage everytime i fly and risk the life-without-trial imprisionment. If the plane crashes into a deserted island and i was the only survivor with these two beers i'd never need to build a raft and escape.

Spent part of the weekend in various places along I-90 in New York and enjoyed the following:

Pearl Street Chocolate Stout
Pearl Street Street Brawler Stout
McNeill's ESB
Chelsea Imperial Stout
Long Trail Coffee Stout
Bear Republic Late Harvest Lager (Marzen)
Empire Brewing Downtown Brown Ale
Rohrback Dry Stout
Rohrback Vanilla Porter

While we were there, we stopped in at Beers of the World in Rochester and noticed they've just added some Dieu de Ciel brands at $5.95 per 12 oz bottle. I don't have a point of comparison, so I don't know if the price is out of whack or not, but it seemed a bit steep to me.
