It was great on tap in Waterbury last week, but wow, this growler is incredible. Sweet milk chocolate and just a perfect amount of coffee to round it out. Wow, man.

A 50/50 blend of Beau's Festivale alt and the current Plowman Ale. It is remarkable how English "real ale" this tastes if you knock down the carbonation, it's very similar to cask Fuller ESB or any premium bitter of the old school in England. The components are fine on their own but the blend really rocks.

I would kill for a taste of the barrel-aged version that sold a couple weeks ago! Went to Waterbury two week ago, drank 3 glasses of this despite the world-class menu.

Missed BA Everett by only a few hours.

Perhaps because of too many Everetts the night before to get there on time in the morning...

5 Beers For 5 Years - New Zealand-Style Double IPA by Cigar City
Madness & Civilization #1 by Hill Farmstead - Outstanding; bourbon, dark chocolate, slightly vinous, sticky sweet, roasty, oaky.
Imperial Stout Bourbon Barrel Aged (2014) by Full Sail - Nice, but should have had before the Hill Farmstead.
Ferus Fluxus by Upslope Brewing / Crooked Stave - Sour, fruity, funky peppery nose. Sticky sweet, citric, pineapple, dry, bittering finish.
The Beer That Saved Christmas by Prairie Artisan -
SouthTown Brown Ale by Tanglewood Branch Beer Co - Awful, but packaged in a great growler called a Squealer, with an homage to Deliverance and a photo of Ned Beatty on the front!

Hit the 7-eleven a block away and quite happily surprised by their craft options. grabbed a sixer of ithaca flower power that i worked through in the hotel.

today at Coles:
galaxy andromeda ipa

and a case of goodies that i brought home.... bridge was awesome, but traffic was a fucking pain in the ass... 3 hours from the rainbow bridge to markham, and it's usually more like 1:45.
