Thought I'd share.

Not a criticism of the LCBO as a whole just one service person.

I checked the inventory and found the the LC close to my work had two cases of Peche Mortel - and the only store in Brampton to have any. I ducked out at lunch time and the store was pretty dead. Just employees stocking shelves.

Ever asked someone for a DDC beer when they don't know DDC? It's like you're talking...another language :P

Didn't see it on the shelves so I asked a woman if she might be able to look in the back and maybe open a case to bring out a couple of 4 pks.

She actually went to the back for about 3 minutes and came out empty handed.

She said: "We're not allowed to bring out some of our christmas beers - we have to wait until the Whiskey Rocks promotion is over next Monday."

I pointed out that a) this wasn't a Christmas release and that b) we were currently standing among ALL the Christmas releases - out and for sale.

Bottom line: I didn't get all mad about it - I simply asked the guy she was working with and he took a minute to get out a case, gave me a couple and put the rest on the shelf. She looked a little hurt, but whatever.

I had a pre-trick-or-treat chili planned and wanted to use it (man it's so good for chili - I think I'm going to braise a roast in it on the weekend) and I wasn't going to leave without some.

Before I joined this community I would've just assumed that the employee was right and honest would've just left.

So thanks, BTers...
