In past years, samples have been 4 ounces, poured in an 8 ounce plastic sampling cup, so you have the option to double up. Most beers are 1 ticket ($1 each) per 4 oz sample, or 2 tickets for a full cup, but some are more.

They're moving from the plastic cup to a glass one this year, which might or might not mean a change in the sample size.

so, basically, its $30 admission? yikes.

and will the Keep6 stuff also be $1/4 ounces? i can't see that happening.

We did a site tour yesterday regarding the Quebec Pavillion -- very impressive setup and with the Education Stage & Seminars closeby, it should be a very decent and civilized area for the Beer Activists crowd ... also, this Pavillion area is nowhere near the Bud Rig or the Molson Mile. The organizers are making an honest effort to make it enjoyable for all.

The Quebec Pavilion will be all weekend as part of TFOB. They have some great food vendors lined up as well for this area. Should be magnifique!

Been to the TFB in previous years but have a question about a related event. Is there any difference between the TFB and the Queer Beer Festival, other than the obvious one? Have a friend going to his first beer festival at the QFB but can't advise him on what to expect unless it's pretty much a duplicate of the TFB.

Is the Queer Beer Festival offering the same beers as the TFB?

From what I heard last year is that it is exactly the same but far less crowded

The only real difference was that Great Lakes had buff boys in short shorts as go-go dancers at Caskapalooza rather than the usual girls.

Otherwise - yeah, all the same vendors & beers, but much less crowded, and no fratboys!

QB is the exact same as TFOB. Except the Bud Babes and Molson Mile girls get a bit discouraged as they don't know how to handle rejection we they get no reaction from the guys. :D

I have been telling folks that if they want to go when there is no line-ups ... go Thursday. Also, it will be the first night for the reps so they will be in a good mood.

I delayed too long this year, if anyone has an extra Saturday ticket they need to get rid of I'd be interested in buying it.

Thanks,
Rick.
