Damn! I so knew and cared about that location!

Interesting guesses on what brands will remain from Stephen and Jordan.

Stephen thinks it'll just be Organic Lager left, while Jordan thinks Organic, Blue Wave, Tankhouse, and 100th Meridian Amber Lager.

I don't think Cobblestone Stout (one of the only other remaining Mill Street LCBO brands) or Haze Phase (the IPA you can buy at the Budweiser Stage for $14/can) are going anywhere though. They hit some niches for Labatt that I don't see elsewhere in the portfolio.

I haven't had a lot of Mill St beer in recent years, but it's still sad in many ways, especially for the local workers.

I remember having Tankhouse back around 2007 - it was a real "ah-hah" moment for me. I was disappointed years later when Tankhouse seemed to change (which is confirmed in this article).

Mill St is Labatt's participation in the craft beer market just like Creemore is for Molson's. If they reduce the portfolio to Organic Lager only, they are effectively leaving the market, which doesn't make sense to me. But then again, I don't think like a macro beer company executive.

Yeah, kind of a dire prediction from Steve about just lager.

Isn't their Toronto brewpub still a functioning brewery? I suppose they could make some small batch stuff there, but obviously would only have limited availability.

I don't drink Mill St anymore, except for the $14 cans of Haze at Bud Stage or History :)

I do miss old school Tankhouse, I would probably still drink that.

They've got lots of brands at the Skydome. I haven't been to BMO Field in ages but they had the stout and hazy IPA there too.

I feel like I see their hazy organic IPA on taps a decent amount. I'd be surprised if they cancelled it.

I haven't had a Tankhouse in a while. I know the recipe changed and noticed it, but it wasn't that problematic to me. What I have noticed is more of it never being fresh. When I have had it, always on tap, it just seemed off. It's strange to me, since a large brewer would probably expect their licensees to keep cleaner lines and present better, but I'm pretty sure that was not happening. Possibly the brand just became a slow seller and the kegs were aging where I went. To be fair, these were the generic obnoxious sports bars/pubs (that I was only at against my will for social reasons) where Tankhouse seemed like the only interesting beer to have. They probably move so much bud lite nobody paid any attention.

Tankhouse at some point just became Inbatt's rickards red, as in "I guess I'll just have one of those, or wait, um, make that a vodka-soda instead".
