Even the craft beer backwater of K-W has all the fall release in...we have at least 1 store that I have encouraged quite vigorously to keep a full compliment of micros and impoerts on the shelves and they have complied quite well, ;-)

As for warmer serving temps...for those who bought the Burton bottle conditioned porter this may be the way to enjoy it best....maybe a slight chill to it from the cellar but served cold (say 6deg.C) you miss the many subtle flavors that have evolved in the bottle.

It's a little too "clean" or closed for my taste – its flavours are too muted, and if refrigerated they are practically killed off – so I’ve been drinking it straight from the cellar, which is what I do with high gravity beers in winter anyway.

I much prefer Rochefort 8 and Westmalle Tripel.
I agree refridgeration is completely missing the point with a lot of beers. Sometimes it just doesn't NEED it - case in point the WM Dubbel, the flavor intensity, for me, is amply present at 15+ Celsius and seems to build over a beer or two (or who's counting? ;) )

Rochefort, being 'wilder' and more 'organically impure' in a sense, it kind of clobbers me over the head right away. It is a real mouthful and if I have just two I feel VERY funky for a day...

There's a time for all things.

Spill the beans... and don't worry, I don't have the financial means to clear their shelves.

Any word on when the De Koninck Amber Ale will be coming out? This appears to be the last of the fall release to hit the shelves.

I've wondered this myself.

Also, is it just the Belgian Pale (found in last years gift pack):

Or is it the Flanders Red (unlikely):

Probably the first one, although it might be this one as well:

That'd be really cool... though you'd think the winter release would be more appropriate.

Regarding the De Koninck Amber Ale, when I search for it on the LCBO website, the only thing that comes up is a 'De Koninck Belgian Gift Pack' 8%abv and $11.95 (4 x 330 ml bottles).

Doesn't say if it includes the Amber Ale...

Did anyone ever see the Wee Heavy? I was just checking in here to see what I might have missed and I forgot it was on the release list.

I wasn't specifically looking for it, but I don't recall seeing it anywhere.

The LCBO website showed a few bottles of the Fuller's Vintage in the system over the weekend. Queens Quay and Mavis Road had about a dozen bottles between them. Either this is an inventory "ghost" from last years order OR the remaining bottles from the lab test case were sent out to the stores.

Either way...eager for that release to get RELEASED!
I don't always piss in a bottle but when I do...I prefer to call it Dos Equis.
