It's okay. A lot of therapy and two bottles of 2007 Aventinus Eisbock have helped me to move past it.PeenSteen wrote:yeah I know, it was Belgian. I'm awful with the whole quoting thing on here. I did not mean to misquote you sir.

There is no doubt that they make good stuff. The founder seems to be about as passionate about good beer than anyone else I can think of. They just make a lot of it. Plus, they take chances by making weird shit like root beer beer.

For anyone who won, I've been informed that you can can get a signature Utopias glass from Sam Adams with a letter from Jim Koch (at no cost). All they need is your address.

They've only got enough for the winners, so please only email if you won. They'll check.

Utopias tasting notes in today's Star in What does a $115 bottle of beer taste like?. Also video.
Gotta love the cognac guy (this may only be in the print edition) who entered the lottery on a whim and admits to not being fond of beer. Though he does occasionally drink Guinness.TwoPint wrote:Utopias tasting notes in today's Star in What does a $115 bottle of beer taste like?. Also video.

Ditto Magic Hat, Goose Island and Sierra Nevada in my experiences.PeenSteen wrote:People love to shit on Sam Adams. With all due respect, Magic Hat should not even be mentioned in the same breath as SN or GI. They aren't int he same league. Spoke to the guy who runs Village Beer in Buffalo, and he told us it was crap even though he still had it for sale. Sounds like a love it or hate it kind of beer. The price point is going to be high too...Ukie wrote:Sorry, I forgot to include the number for the Infinium:PeenSteen wrote:People love to shit on Sam Adams. How does that work?
Weird. Isn't Guelph like the armpit of Ontario? or is that Toronto? Naw, that is the ass crack.
Being the left ankle, London gets one which is good I guess.
