I'm an NFL nut. But by NFL, I mean No Fucking Lemon. As in serving it with my wheat beer. :)
We're in agreement!

I don't mind a fruity beer or cocktail (martini! :P a dig at the martini traditionalists!) but I don't like attached fruit to the glass.

I just hope you're not a leafs fan, cause no one takes them seriously.
Haha, agreed, and no, I'm not. It's not even that I dislike the Sens either; to be truthful, I just don't like Spezza. When he's gone they'll be fine I suppose. Unfortunately, I cheer for the Oilers. At least we have some hopeful prospects.

I actually don't mind having fruit attached to the glass when I'm served a pint. Not because it enhances the flavour, but because interesting garnishes typically spark the attention of observers and makes them more likely to try a (craft) beer they might otherwise pass over for something more genaric from a macro. So if a KLB raspberry wheat beer say, was served with a skewred raspberry and mint leaf garnish it would likely attract the attention of some people who might otherwise not try the beer. If such is the case and I think it is, at least slightly, I have no qualms with a piece of fruit riding shotgun on my rim, as long as it doesn't up the price of the pint that is.
I don't always drink beer ... because sometimes my friends win and we have to go to macro-only establishments.

i wish they used bottled on dates instead...

does anyone know Muskoka's method for choosing best before, i.e. assume 3-4 months for an ipa before its faded?

I was actually going to post last week about this...

On Wednesday I noticed a couple of Mad Toms from the original LCBO shipment in the back of my fridge.

That was, what, June, July?

The one I cracked was in fine form. I was expecting something stale and it was great...

Why would you be expecting something stale? It's not a Flying Monkeys beer.

The fact that my "old" Mad Toms, Crazy Canucks, Red Racers, Miami Weiss's, and Tree HopHeads are still hoppy as hell while drinking a bottled Smashbomb is like trying to win the hops lottery speaks for itself.

Had an "old" Mad Tom tonight. Still a hop bomb.

What is this "old" Mad Tom's you speak of? It never stays in my fridge long, in fact it's usually the first selection out of the fridge right now.

I don't think I'm drinking enough Mad Tom - I should get some more...

I just started into my first home brew and had been stock piling my empties of Mad Tom. Now that I'm closing in on bottling day I have a very logical reason to buy 24's of it; purely for empties  I'm going to tell the wife it's like an investment.

I've been drinking Mad Tom all summer..and now into winter...I was very happy that my local beer store decided to keep restocking their supply..and Muskoka just kept on making it.....think it's close to Tree Hop Head and Phillips Hop Circle and it's easier to get and cheaper

I like Super Collider and Smashbomb too...but my local LCBO is useless, the beer store stocks Black Oak as well..so in a pinch..I'm happy.

Had Super Collider on tap at Volo just after New Years...wasn't much left by the time I turned up....what was left I drank..

yeah - the labels come off pretty beautifully. If you're able to get the Harvest Ale those are great for bottling too...I've got some empties of DCCS, not sure if they come off as easily as the others.

Happy bottling!
