last night, Amsterdam Spring Bock, Southern Tier Cuvee II, and a 4-year-old Girardin Geuze (black label). This morning, tylenol and lots of cold water.

You must always pre-hydrate toqueboy, LOL! Best headache cure is preventive.

PS Acetaminophen + any leftover blood alcohol i= very bad for the liver.

Drinking a Stone IPA right now. Later will be an Anchor Bock and Deschutes Mirror Pond Pale Ale......my wife brought them back for me from a trip to San Francisco. I'm a lucky guy

we also drank an '08 fff behemoth and an '09 central waters bourbon barrel barleywine. the behemoth was tasty as always. the bbbw was good, but seems like it needs a little time in the cellar. doesn't quite feel as "together" as the '08 batch did around this time last year.

I had an '06 on the weekend. It was very good, though I hadn't had it previously, so I can't compare it.

i've previously had 2 year old bottles (the '05 in '07 being the most recent) and LOVED it. tons of depth and complexity. this one seemed to have lost most of that, and i even got a bit of oxidation on it. could be batch-to-batch differences though too. i know the '05 IRS is the best i've ever had - both fresh and aged. more recent batches just paled by comparison.
