most people at noon were only grabbing 4 and yeah the limit was 6, i was the only one leaving with a case. (only 4 of BOYD but im a good hour and a half away so always grab a case worth of bellwoods beers)
having it now, this is excellent! agree with Jeffs observations, just a quality barrel aging without being over powered by the cognac.

I am curious about what this place is like? I am going to be in Toronto next weekend and I was thinking of stopping by but is there any kind of tasting area where you can try stuff before you buy, or are you pretty much stuck sitting at the bar? I am just wondering since I am going to be with my wife and my 2 year old, and something more formal like with waiters and that kind of thing, might not really work.

If the weather's good, the patio would be a nice spot for you & family as it's got picnic tables and a casual vibe, especially during the day.Kel Varnsen wrote:I am curious about what this place is like? I will see if I can try that, although it might be tough. My wife doesn't really like beer (plus she is pregnant) so she might not be up for sitting around while I drink. Plus the trip is for her birthday so spending a bunch of time enjoying my hobby might not work. Is there any other cool stuff that she might like in the same neighborhood?Cass wrote:If the weather's good, the patio would be a nice spot for you & family as it's got picnic tables and a casual vibe, especially during the day.Kel Varnsen wrote:I am curious about what this place is like? Well, the Ossington strip is basically just bars & restaurants, so not much to see around there. A wander along Queen Street West & Trinity Bellwoods park is always interesting, if she's up for walking right now!Kel Varnsen wrote:I will see if I can try that, although it might be tough.
