Hope it has reopened. It was closed when I passed through Buffalo on Oct. 21 after the big storm of two nights previous. Premier Liquor was open, but apparently they have their own generator. I hate to think how much cheese and other perishable stuff PG had to chuck out. We dropped into a local Tops for beer and cheese. They still had some beer (and some pretty decent stuff at that), but the cheese was all being written off. I gather there were parts of Buffalo that were still dark some days later. I'm happy to say Cole's was open.

Just called them up today and someone answered the phone, so they must be re-opened.
Funny story though, the guy I talked to said they are only getting the Oaked Bastard 3 Litre bottles, but the Stone press release says that Oaked Bastard will only be in the new 12 oz bottle 6 packs this year.
So now I'm confused.

He probably got confused with the batch Double Bastard that is being released on the same day as the Oaked Arrogant bastard.DragonOfBlood wrote: Funny story though, the guy I talked to said they are only getting the Oaked Bastard 3 Litre bottles, but the Stone press release says that Oaked Bastard will only be in the new 12 oz bottle 6 packs this year.

"Double Bastard Ale will once again be offered in 22oz bottles and the large 3 Liter bottles, while OAKED Arrogant Bastard Ale will only be available in 6-packs containing the new 12oz bottles."

So me and my buddy, a newly indoctrinated Ratebeerian, decided we have to head back to Buffalo to grab more brew.
Quick hail-Mary question for you guys: I'm a big Sabres fan but I've never seen them play at home. Does anyone know if you can buy tix from scalpers outside HSBC? And how bad are the markups?
We found a ticket reseller, but after international shipping, it looks to be about $120 (US) apiece for 300 level seats. Any Buffalonians in the crowd to offer some advice?
