There must be no mercy to the infidel.

Punishment must be cruel and unusual.

Agreed. Chipotle peppers are generally more about the smoke than the heat, so it makes sense that a beer made with them would be the same. I like it.

Here are my thoughts on the whole release, for those who might be interested: http://www.beerboozebites.com/2011/06/0 ... y-feature/
Finally got around to trying the Chipotle and was a little apprehensive, expected a liquid chiles in adobo sauce flavoured beer. Actually I really enjoyed it especially paired with ground turkey burgs, which can be a little bland. Sorry I only bought 1 but may scrounge the local stores for a few more.

Care to share that list? :) I'll probably be in Michigan soon too, and was hoping to hit someplace else besides the Red Wagon.

You dont need to go out of your way, check my post:

Any recipes or cooking tips for the Chipotle? I bought a few bottles thinking I would drink half and use the rest as a marinade or something.

chili
beer battered red snapper
beer braised brisket
drunken chicken

basically any recipe that, in your opinion, might be benefited by (a) beer and (b) a very subtle chipotle flavour

I tried the Chipotle beer last week. I think the problem was I eat a lot of spicy foods, so my tastebuds are pretty acustomed to hot, stuff to the point where sometimes I can't even taste it. So with the chipotle beer I don't think I was able to taste the heat, so all I really got was the smokey aftertaste, which tasted kind of gross.

There is no heat. I tasted none in the two bottles that I drank. All I tasted with that same disgusting smoky flavour that you mentioned...

I am surprised about the lack of heat comments on the Chipotle. From what everyone is saying it isn't the same one I tried a few years ago in Colorado.

That Rogue Chipotle gave a burning sensation in the back of the throat as it went down. Not overly hot, but enough to stop me from drinking a whole bottle.

That sounds pretty awesome, actually.
