Hey Dan, there's at least one pineapple beer out there called Chapeau Exotic (if you aren't familiar with Chapeau, they make a full range of fruit beers). The Exotic has been stocked by the LCBO in the past. I bought a couple bottles for my girlfriend (she likes the fruity beers, especially the Floris stuff). It didn't do much for me (though I don't mind fruit beers, some of them remind me of the original, stronger Twist Shandy my dad used to buy in the summer).

They may have it at Michelle's Brasserie in Yorkville. I remember them having the Chapeau Lemon last year.

Chapeau Exotic tasted to me like perfumed fake-fruity bubble bath water, quite frankly.

hey pootz. there actually wasn't any extract used. it was orange peel, mandarin peel, a teeny bit of candied orange peel, some orange pulp and some mandarin pulp. and a bit of honey.

It's great to hear the varied responses to the beer - everyone gets a different taste, which is just what we wanted. Had a couple fruit beers in Belgium over the past couple weeks, some of which were wayyyy too intense (ie. Beck's Orange Beer) so I'm happy that our beer appeals to a number of palates. Thanks for all the feedback everyone - look forward to further suggestions as we work on our next few seasonal releases.

When is the more "orangey" second batch going to be in stores? I've seen LCBOs that were sold out putting out new stock - is this the new batch?
