That's Helen Lovejoy, who still lives on with the rest of the show that should have been cancelled years ago. Maude Flanders is the one who died due to a combination of a T-shirt Cannon and Ned's fear of Footlong hotdogs

The usual suspects will show up. The nay-sayers and peddlers of real influence will stress their typical "if-it-ain't-broke-don't fix-it" point of view. The whole charade will inch along until the next election is imminent. At that point the whole process, doomed from the beginning, will fall apart.

Then it's back to business as usual.
I don't know. The scandal over Beau's delivery service got a ton of media coverage. If the people interested in changing things can actually build on that something might be able to happen.

Oh, it seemed to me from the article that they could only buy from TBS or the LCBO. The part where the restaurant owner was saying if it's sold at TBS, he has to buy from there.

I don't know that the gov't isn't willing to make changes. I'm more worried that if they seriously move to doing that, Molbatts will come to them and say "Oh but we employ x-thousands of TBS employees/staff/etc and y-thousands of people at our breweries in ON. You wouldn't want us to go around telling people how you're endangering those jobs, would you?"

Exactly. You made my point. Peddlers of heavy influence have a lot of ammo. The TBS union (UFCW, which has 6000 TBS members) will make the same argument. Case closed.

What that means is that if the same product (sku) is sold at both the LCBO and the Beer Store, licensees must buy that product from TBS

Like any government, this government will do whatever they think gives them the best chance of being re-elected. If they calculate that ending the monopoly will bring more votes than leaving it, they'll do it. That is why the citizenry of this fine province needs to be made angry about this monopoly, and then reassured that ending it will not make their Bud Light more expensive.

Well I was happy to drive by the "Beer Boutique" in Liberty Village (Toronto) last night around beer o'clock and see it practically empty. I think most people have caught on to the fact that it's nothing new and just a fancy way to display the same tired old brands.

Having the same old, same old in a fancier store won't bring anybody in, and is a recipe for failure. Of course they way the macro's will spin it is nobody is interested in "boutique" beers and there is no reason to carry these products.

Especially when there's an LCBO directly across the parking lot.
