Maybe the rapid sale of this beer will encourage Black Oak to NOT ONLY brew 10BY substantially more often, but also to experiment with/release some more seasonals. They have the ability to brew some pretty good stuff, and they should do so more regularly.

Wow! Good on Ken, though - seems like he's trying to make people happy about the quick sell-out - and with a party too - it actually sounds like a lot of fun!

Just cracked the second bottle of my 6 pack and it confirmed what my taste buds said a couple of weeks ago. This is NOT the same beer as it has previously been. Not even close. This isn't even good enough to buy again, so I will be passing on the next release.

I really loved this beer (as my review on BA suggests) and in its current state is barely an average DIPA. The aroma is very muted. There is a lot of bittering but very little in terms of flavour from the hops. Where is that wonderful grapefruit flavour????

Weird. I picked up tons of West Coast flavour and aroma hops in the ~20 bottles and many many pints on tap I had of it. Still tasted like TBY to me.

+1. I just had a fresh draft of this recently and the current 10BY is very, very similar with the initial release. The tannins from the hops almost make it seem to taste of oak. 2¢. And good work Ken & Co. - we really appreciate everything you do!

Agreed - this batch is much like the very first batch - much less muted alcohol profile (read: less harsh), flavors more well balanced. A little less like a DIPA - which to me is a good thing

The event sounds good!
