Consumers won't get cheaper Saison Dupont or Chimay Bleu via private retail, I infer from Cass.

But BA, licensees should get a break, regardless - it's better for them and for us. I'm tired of the LCBO sitting high and mighty on this issue. Their unchangeability is pure obstinacy, and rigid inflexibility is their only hope to maintain a composure of absolute control.

I didn't make the comment about price, that was A. And I'm pretty sure he was referring to consumer pricing. After lots of trips to Buffalo you see how cheap imported beers are - at least the ones that we get.

Exactly. I've never thought that prices were too high in the LCBO. Compared to the US(never mind premier gourmet, even corner stores are expensive for good stuff) we have it pretty good in that respect.

I don't know why I keep paying attention to the subject -- it's pretty damn depressing.
