Picked up the Burton Porter, Samuel Smith Nut Brown, and O'Hara's Stout today at the Queenquay LCBO. Generously, a guy working there in the beer section told me that he'd give me a call as the rest of them started to roll in.

From what I've been told, the Westmalle arrived late and was still in lab testing at the time. I'm told it could be a few weeks.

Skipped work early and made a fast trek down to Queens Quay. Picked up two Sam Smith's and one each of the porter and stout. I'm drinking a nut brown right now.

Tasty! Nice finish too. More shall be liberated from the clutches of the LCBO!

which markham location? the only one showing stock on the LCBO website is woodbine+7, and there was nothing on the shelves (at noon or 4:30). the staff i asked about it looked at me like i was from mars when i commented that it was showing on the website and asked if he could find out when it'd come out. then he walked away and helped someone else. now that's customer service!
i'll have to try again on the weekend. hopefully it won't all be gone when i get there like the summer release...i kept going in and being told that it was going to be on the shelves "soon" (after seeing it on the website), and when it actually did hit hte shelves it was gone the same day.

The Westmalle Dubbel is on the shelves at the Queensquay store as of today. Just got back from picking up a case. Can't wait for the others to start showing themselves...

I picked it up at that exact LCBO at around 5:00... the guy I talked to at first couldn't do anything for me but the guy I talked to yesterday came around and got a few Samuel Smith's from the back for me... apparently they didnt put them out today. If you end up going there again and they're still not on the shelves, try to find an older guy (at least 50) with a beard that works there.

That really surprises me... I got an email yesterday from the LCBO telling me that westmalle was still going through lab testing because it arrived late and probably wouldnt be on sale for a few more weeks. It doesn't even show up on LCBO's website yet.

Yeah, it surprised me as well. Just yesterday while in the same store they told me that it would probably be the last seasonal to show itself - but then I received a friendly phone call today telling me that it had indeed arrived. So I drove down and sure enough, there it was, priced at a very nice $2.95.

24 from my recolection.
OK so Wednesday I had 3 of my four favourite Trappists.
In this order:
Orval
Rochefort 10
Chimay Grand Reserve
Wrong order.
should have had in this order:
Orval
Chimay Grand Reserve
Rochefort 10
Tonight so far Rochefort 10 (x3) (edit + one Trois Pistoles [worthy after a Rochefort 10])
Since Westmalle is out in some LCBOs and not on the website, when I look tomorrow (since they update inventory nightly) we should see where all the Westmalle Dubbel is.
So soon I shall have in this order:
Orval
Westmalle Dubbel
Chimay Grand Reserve
Rochefort 10
+ 1 Cohiba Esplendido

Slow on getting the items here; seems the releases have missed the western 905. On my walk home from work I stopped in and asked one of the employees when we'd start seeing the releases on the shelves.
"We're getting a fall release?"
Egads...that Buffalo multiparty trip sounds better and better.

So they have all 11 on the shelves down there? If so, I think this might be the first time that the whole release came out simultaneously and on time!
